CONTEXT
—-

Eduardo Albuquerque was working on Reverendo's sophomore record (tentatively called “Cafona”) in which every song would be titled after a name he liked. Some - like Ayrton Senna, about trying to be first and how that could destroy one, or Zico, about failing when everyone is counting on you, were related to the name, but some, like this one, were titled after a “real life” name just because he liked the name.

After his computer froze, Albuquerque lost all the recorded beats and songs, thus giving up on the project. However, this song was done and release before that. “Elias Gleizer” is a “weed” song written after a friend of Albuquerque confided he entered Gleizer's apartment and smelled weed. Albuquerque, who had worked with Gleizer in “Sonho Meu” and “Era uma vez...” thought that was so funny it warranted the non sense connection. When, in 2013, Elias Gleizer passed, Albuquerque rushed the launch of the song, recorded some ad libs to his homage and published on soundcloud. It's the only song off of “Cafona” to surface, though “Zico” and “Ayrton Senna” (this one with a different arrangement) and “Axel Foley” were played at Reverendo's only concert at Comuna (Rio de Janeiro) in 2014.
